Teaching in the era of Smartphones is challenging, to say the least. Consequences for using them, rewards for not using them, all manner of management tools don’t really work. My guess is because the Smartphones are truly addictive.
Without his big smartphone, he said, “I’m not compelled to get that dopamine rush.”
I’m not going to get into a debate about this subject. Rather, I encourage you to read this one story of how, maybe, to address this growing issue.
